Many Michigan Bean Soup
(compliments of Michigan Bean Commission)

3 cups assorted Michigan beans, dry (mix your own or look for a mix)  24 oz.
2 - 3 cups diced or ground lean ham
1 1/2 cup onion, chopped
1 cup carrots, diced
5 chicken bouillon cubes
2 Teaspoons Garlic
2 Quarts water
Salt and Pepper to taste

Soak bean mixture for approx. 1 hour.  Drain.  Combine all ingredients with 2
quarts water in crock pot.  Cook accordingly to crock pot directions.  It is recommended
to bring mixture to a boil, then turn to low for 6-8 hours, or until beans are tender and
thickened.

Serves 10 - 1 Cup servings.
